Our retelling of Robin Hood was adapted from a Pantomime and worked very well.  We took advantage of a projection Backdrop and this eliminated the cost and inconvenience of putting up a backcloth.  This serves as a bonus as the scenery can change several times with the click of a PC button.  The result was quite outstanding and we still use the technique to date, only things have progressed and with the addition of animations, even more spectacular.  The full affect is difficult to see on the photographs as the flash bleeds the colours out, but believe me, its good.  Performed at Eastwood Theatre in the summer of 2006.  One thing was this was the first time I was slapped onstage, and in the script.  Like a fool I said to Jane, Slap me to make it look real.   Never again. ha
